Burke Simpson is a hockey skills, performance, and development coach dedicated to helping athletes reach their highest potential on and off the ice. A former junior and collegiate player, Burke competed for two seasons of Junior A hockey in Canada before advancing to the NAHL South Division. He went on to play four seasons of NCAA hockey at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, appearing in more than 100 career games.

Burke earned his degree in Health and Human Performance from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist, giving him a unique ability to blend elite hockey development with evidence-based performance training. His expertise spans skill development, athletic performance, injury prevention, and long-term athlete development.

As a coach with Best Shift Training, Burke has worked with athletes ranging from youth hockey to junior-level players, focusing on skating, puck skills, hockey IQ, and building the habits necessary for success at higher levels of the game. His training philosophy emphasizes developing confidence through repetition. 

In addition to his work with Best Shift, Burke was recently named Assistant Coach of the Woodbury High School Boys Varsity Hockey program. Following opportunities to continue his playing career professionally, he chose to pursue coaching full-time, driven by a passion for developing athletes and helping them achieve their goals.
