Mike Lundin

 

 

Mike Lundin joined the team at Best Shift Hockey in June 2025. He is a retired American professional ice hockey defenseman. He was drafted 102nd overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2004 NHL Draft.

Lundin attended Apple Valley High School in Minnesota, where he was a finalist for the Minnesota Mr. Hockey award and earned All-Conference honors in both hockey and baseball. 

He was named the 2003 Associated Press Minnesota Hockey Player of the Year and Minnesota Star-Tribune Metro Hockey Player of the Year before going on to play college hockey at the University of Maine.

 

Lundin played in the National Hockey League with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild, and Ottawa Senators, appearing in 252 NHL games over six seasons. 

After his NHL career, Lundin continued playing professionally, including stints with EHC Biel in Switzerland and Jokerit in the KHL, before retiring in 2018. He later returned to competitive hockey in the 3ICE three-on-three professional league, playing for 3 seasons.
